What is the weight of the chair?

The weight of the chair, including 1 set of cables, posture prop and health step is approx 28 lbs (12.7Kg). Note that the chair has rear wheels for ease of movement, these only come into use when tipping back (very slightly) the folded chair, for storage reasons. Otherwise the wheels are not in contact with the floor.

What is the seat height of the chair?

The seat height is 18 ½ ", persons of smaller stature may still easily use the chair comfortably, by putting the health step (4" high) in position at the front of the chair, this reduces the seat height to 14 ½"-15".

How easy is it to fold the chair and is it heavy to move (for storage)?

  • The chair is easily folded by grasping the front of the seat and the balance bar handles on the seat back; pull the seat up towards the back and the chair will smoothly close, (sometimes it is a bit stiff to start off), leaving a small foot print of just 19" (48cm) wide and 9" (23cm) deep. The chair is freestanding when folded.
  • You can leave the posture prop on when folding the chair, but unclip the step, if attached
  • To move the chair to storage area, gently tip back the chair and allow the transport wheels (on rear legs) to make contact with the floor then carefully pull chair to desired storage position.
  • It is strongly advised that the Freedom Flex poles are removed (both top and bottom section), before folding and moving the chair.

Are the non-slip feet on the legs, non-marking?

Yes.

How much clearance (Ceiling Height) is required for the Freedom Flex shoulder attachment?

The height of the Shoulder Flex when attached is 84", 7ft. Important, please allow 87" for easy removal of the shoulder attachment if required.
